		<description>P. vivax or P. falciparum? P. falc. is nearly always fatal untreated, P. vivax seldom so.

P. falc. is most common in sub-Saharan Africa, whereas in India P. vivax causes 65% of cases.[1]

Therefore I can easily imagine malaria cases in India which, left untreated, would go away eventually.
