Dear Anonymous

I have read the Organon and many other homeopathy texts. It is all nonsense and in 200 years homeopaths have failed to produce any good evidence that any of it is true. Indeed, scientific advances since Hahnemann have now show that not only is homeopathy not true but is deeply implausible.

Whatever caused your seizures to stop, it was not a homeopathic sugar pill.

And by using words like 'allopath' you give yourself away as not just a simple user of homeopathic quackery but almost undoubtedly a peddler of such - as allopathy is a term coined by Samuel Hahnemann to mock the physicians of his time.

My seizures were cured by homoeopathy and not allopathy, so it's for all to decide who is a better quack.

I think before you condemn someone you need to first read those heavy books that homoeopaths have to read to start practising. I was cured of my seizures through homoeopathy and sadly the allopatic medicines did not help at all. I am today a happy and healthy person and I thank my homoeopath for it. Every body has a right to choose! So, if you cannot understand the power of homoeopathy then please do not say anything at all.

I remember the Travelling Homeopaths' Collective from Glastonbury in 1995. At the time I didn't know much about homeopathy other than that it was vaguely "herbal." My then boyfriend had developed sciatica and we hung around their tent for some time - I think they must have been out. Whilst waiting, I perused the posters in the tent. It became increasingly clear to me that homeopathy was meaningless twaddle, and we left shortly afterwards to self-medicate with whatever came to hand.

Beautifully written. As a former Rennie (Rennaissance Faire Performer) the "trip to the privies" was always an unhappy journey. A day in the Maryland sun with 25k visitors makes for a tough environment - a little like the surface of Venus on a bad day.

Like Glastonbury, the Ren Faires of the US have their share of herbalists and medicinal sellers offering various roots and concoctions to imrpove your health.

And yet the best of all salves was simply - drink plenty of water and stay out of the sun.
