Welcome

What is the NRH?
Non-Medically Qualified Homeopaths have been represented by around ten different organisations in the UK, all with different registration lists and ideas as to what a homeopathy is. The NRH exists to make it easy for the public to find out about homeopathy and who they might trust with their services.
If you practice homeopathy in the UK, and are not professionally regulated by the General Medical Council (i.e. you are not medically trained and registered as a doctor), then you can be part of the NRH. Membership is free and automatic if you practice homeopathy for a fee. You may use the designation NRHom after your name to say that you abide by our code of ethics.
Why the NRH?
The NRH exists to promote the highest possible standards in lay homeopathy. We exist to help the public decide who they can trust with their care.
What makes us different?
The NRH is totally independent and does not take money from homeopaths and so we are free to enforce our code of ethics without prejudice. We are run by volunteers who believe this is an essential service to help protect the public.

Homeopathy Myths
The NRH believes the public has been seriously mislead about homeopathy and wants to ensure that an accurate and respected source is available for them to learn more.
Do you believe that...
- Homeopathy is a natural medicine that uses plants and herbs to heal?
- Homeopathy is based on priciples thousands of year old?
- Homeopathy is without risk and totally safe?
- Homeopathy is based on our latest understanding of the physics of water?
None of these things are true. Find out more in our myths section.
Concerned about a homeopath?
The NRH operates a Red Card Scheme that allows the public to make informed decisions about whether to employ the services of a particular homeopath. We take our code of ethics seriously and issue red cards to homeopaths who breach our standards.
Homeopaths who have had a red card issued are no longer elligible to use the designation NRHom and and not recommended by the NRH.
If you have a concern about a homeopath then you can fill in our red card notification form in the strictest of confidence. You can be sure we will thoroughly investiage and ensure appropriate action is taken.
